Tender Mercies

Image
Buenos días:)     This week felt like it was only 2 days long and here we are again. Last week for FHE we went to a park and played a bunch of games like bocce and stuff. It was super fun, not to mention I won ;)     This week we had exchanges with the spanish hermanas!!!! So I got to be with Hermana Osburn (my MTC comp) for the day in her area. It seriously was SO much fun being back in spanish work. Ugh I just loved it so much. I was able to speak spanish all day, even with Hermana Osburn and it was awesome. Kind of a funny story though. We were driving home for lunch and we saw this garbage truck pulled over to the side of the road. I looked in at the driver and it was one of my old investigators from San Marcos, my first area!!! We stopped and got out and he was so excited to see me and I was excited to see him. It was such a miracle and a tender mercy that we found each other so randomly! His name is Javier and he is so so sweet. Later that day we went and picke...

Tendinitis

Ok sorry my phone was having technical difficulties this morning and deleted the email that i tried to send this morning. So I don't have my journal anymore to write what happened so I will do my best.      This week went by SO fast. We had presidents interviews which are seriously one of my favorite things. President Thomas is like my best friend. I might have said that already. We had exchanges with some fun sisters this week! One of them is really struggling and apparently is thinking about going home so we tried our best to help her out and get her back and focused.      So I don't remember if I had mentioned anything about my elbow in the past, but it has been bothering me for quite some time now. The mission nurse referred me to a physical therapist who finally could figure out what was wrong with me. I have tendinitis in my elbow. They don't know what from but now I am all taped up and have to do exercises and massage it every hour.    ...

Hello friends and fam     Great week here in the Encinitas/Del Mar area. Last pday was probably the best pday of my whole mission. We planned a tri-zone activity where about 60 missionaries were together and we had a bbq. We had sand volleyball, football and basketball going on too. It was so much fun. My companion and I were put in charge of the food so we had to divide everything up and give out assignments. Then Monday morning we went and bought a ton of food for 60 missionaries. It was awesome! That night at FHE we played jeopardy with the ward. It was super fun but sadly my team did not win haha.      Tuesday we had exchanges! I went to Vista with Sister Vernon. She is a very new missionary so I got to help her a lot which was good. We walked a ton and I was sweating so much but that's just a part of missionary work. I got to talk to a lot of hispanics there too. Actually I have talked to way more here than I thought I would have. I know the Lord is putting...

Miracles Happen

Hi to all my fans!     Well just so you all know this week has been better and I have felt your prayers. I had a lot of experiences this week where I felt that my Heavenly Father was letting me know He was still there and a lot of experiences where I just felt like I need to accept His will because I'm not here for me, I'm here for Him. It has been a growing experience for sure. This area is kind of slow, we don't really have any solid investigators so we spend most of our time trying to find people to teach. But it's okay, having a slow area has never bothered me too much as long as I'm doing my best I know He will provide people in His own time.      We had exchanges this week with some sisters in Oceanside and it was my very first one as STL haha. Well I woke up the next morning and while I was getting ready for the day, my back started killing me out of nowhere and I couldn't move. I was in bed and I couldn't get up. So I took medicine and had an ice pac...

Back To Sister Wilhelmsen

Hiiii well this week was pretty tough ill be honest. First week in english work in the ysa and it's been so different from what i'm used to. We didn't really have success either. It's okay though. I'm trying to like it here but It's been pretty rough. I miss the hispanic culture a lot and serving here just kind of feels like I'm attending the ward as a YSA aged member, not a missionary. The people are nice, it's just different.      I get to go back up to my old area in a couple weeks for Lorena's baptism so I am super excited!      Nothing really happened this week except for knocking on doors. Have a good one. Please keep me in your prayers. Hermana Wilhelmsen
