Liz Is Ready For Baptism!

Image
HIIII! This week was awesome!!     So it started off with exchanges with the STL's. I was with Sister Jackson and I LOVE her. We get along super well and just have so much fun together. We got called to help clean a members apartment to help her move out in the morning and it was absolutely disgusting. Cockroaches everywhere and it looked like she hadn't ever cleaned anything since she moved in. So I was grateful that my mom taught us to clean properly and she kept saying how impressed she was with how well I can clean, so thanks mom ;)      Then we went to visit this recent convert Vince. He's 9 years old and so cute. He is obsessed with football and reminds me a lot of Cody actually haha. He just kept saying "I just want nothing but peace for the whole world and for Jesus to come and tell everyone to stop fighting" SO CUTE.      We had a lesson with a part member family that went really well. Everyone is members in the family except Memo the dad...

The Sickness/Big John

Hellooooo family.  This week was good!! We had presidents interviews which are always good. Last pday we went to H&M which is like my favorite store everrrr. It was weird shopping there as a missionary though, but still good.      We had a training this week on the #lighttheworld video that will come out this Christmas and it is SOO good. We got a sneak peak because we are missionaries and it is awesome. I can't wait until it comes out so we can share it with everyone. Everyone should watch it when it comes out to the public.      The elders in my district hooked us up this week with a free breakfast. There is this man named Big John who owns a breakfast place here in California called Tip Top. It is superrrrr good food and he just let all us missionaries come and eat there for free. He isn't a member but he loves missionaries! So that was really nice of him. He is super tall and has massive hands and that is why he is called Big John btw haha....

New Area/Oceanside Sunsets

Hiiiii, this week was good but very different. I am in Oceanside right now as you all know. It's right on the beach so it's pretty cool and GORGEOUS. I'm already excited to come back and visit so I can actually go swimming haha.     Last week Hermana Clawson and I got pedicures last week as our last thing as a companionship. It was fun, I miss her SOOOOO much. It's always weird adjusting to a new companion. My new companion is Hermana Brockhausen. She is nice.     So on Tuesday we had transfers! It was really sad for me to leave. I loved my first area so much but I know the new one will be good as well. Transfers are always fun though because there are so many missionaries at the mission office and you get to see people that you haven't in a while!      The first night in Oceanside my comp took me to a spot by the beach at sunset, it was SO PRETTY. I'll attach pictures hopefully if I can figure it out on this computer.      We have a sup...

Transferring to Oceanside

Helloo, we had a lot going on this week!     On Monday we had a noche de hogar (family home evening) with one of my favorite families. We had a fire and it was super fun! This week a member invited us over to make enchiladas verdes and taught us how to make them and they were soooo good.      Since Hermana Clawson is finishing her training we got to go to the Tequila Factory (a mexican buffet) and Mormon Battalion! One of Hermana Clawson's best friends is serving her mission there so it was fun for her to see her!      I found out that I'm getting transferred!! I'm going to Oceanside to be companions with Hermana Brockhausen. I'm really sad to leave this ward and area but I'm ready to experience other areas and people too.  Well that's all for this week! Love you guys!!     Hermana Wilhelmsen

Starting Goodbyes

Hi!! This week was crazy! I went on an exchange in Valley Center with my STL on Wednesday and it was good! It made me excited to get transferred kinda to see and experience other areas and meet new people!     So this week was full of changes. 4 missionaries from Puerto Rico came to the mission and so our district got all moved around to accommodate them! They are super nice and had crazy pictures to show us of all the damage and stuff that happened in their mission in Puerto Rico!!     I took Hermana Clawson to Buffalo Wild Wings this week because she had never been! It was cool because afterwards we had to take our car in to get worked on and so while we were sitting there waiting, we talked to a guy and he ended up coming and watching General Conference with us! He's super interested which is awesome but he is also white so we have to turn him over to the English Elders.     General Conference was awesome!! I loved Elder Holland's talk the most. I'll be ...
