Tender Mercies

Buenos días:)

This week felt like it was only 2 days long and here we are again. Last week for FHE we went to a park and played a bunch of games like bocce and stuff. It was super fun, not to mention I won ;)

This week we had exchanges with the spanish hermanas!!!! So I got to be with Hermana Osburn (my MTC comp) for the day in her area. It seriously was SO much fun being back in spanish work. Ugh I just loved it so much. I was able to speak spanish all day, even with Hermana Osburn and it was awesome. Kind of a funny story though. We were driving home for lunch and we saw this garbage truck pulled over to the side of the road. I looked in at the driver and it was one of my old investigators from San Marcos, my first area!!! We stopped and got out and he was so excited to see me and I was excited to see him. It was such a miracle and a tender mercy that we found each other so randomly! His name is Javier and he is so so sweet. Later that day we went and picked up 2 new investigators for them and I was just reminded of how humble, loving and family-oriented the hispanic culture is. I am so amazed at how close they emulate the Saviors humility. Just willing to accept whatever God gives them and having so much faith.

This week's lesson with Jared was crazy. He wanted to talk about excommunication and how it works. We were outside in the sun for about 3 hours just having a discussion about it. We all ended up crying because of how strong the Spirit was. Good lesson.

On Friday we had our last exchanges of the transfer. Don't get me wrong, I love exchanges and getting to be with and work with all the sisters but it is exhausting. I was in Oceanside with Sister Busboom who is a brand new greenie. She was so eager to talk to as many people as she could and it was awesome.

On Saturday was a baptism in the spanish branch. It was awesome! I got super emotional when we started singing the hymns in spanish. The church is true in all languages but there is just a special spirit when it is in spanish. We sang some of my favorite hymns and it just brought back a lot of good memories. I miss it a lot.

Well that is about all for this week. It is so cool to see how the Lord has been answering my prayers lately. He always does it while I'm reading the Book of Mormon. I just have thoughts that come to my head that I know are from God. Even when I'm not reading anything that has to do with my questions or concerns. He is so mindful of us and our needs. I'm grateful for the love He has shown me. I love you all so much!!
