Baptismal Date Set For March 10th

Image
Hellooooooo  This week was a good week but a long week haha. We spent most of our time sitting in the church, putting all of our teaching records into the area book app on our phones. So we barely even left the whole week so I apologize for the lack of news this week.   We had a lesson with America this week. The lesson before we had left her with the assignment to read the Word of Wisdom Pamphlet. So she starts to offer the first prayer to start the lesson and she just starts going through the pamphlet and reading some notes she wrote down and explaining what she learned to the Lord and it was so funny. My comp and I were trying so hard not to laugh.      We have an investigator named Vanessa I'm not sure if I have already told you about her but she is now on date for baptism the 10 of March!! We are so excited for her and she is SO READY. She understands everything we teach her and knows already that she is in the right church. She reads so much out of the Boo...

The Gospel Is 100% True

Hi friends, such an amazing week! So sorry my email wasn’t working earlier so i don't have as much time.     This week my back was kind of bothering me so we went to the chiropractor. A recent convert from the English ward adjusts all missionaries for free! But now.... my back is worse I think haha. Not too bad but a little annoying.      On Monday night I prayed that we would have a baptism this transfer because a missionary in our zone said we should. And you will not believe that the very next day, we had a lesson for the first time with an investigator and SHE SET A BAPTISMAL DATE?!?! What a miracle. So she will get baptized on March 9th if everything goes well.  We had service this week at a food bank. It was fun.      The highlight of this week was when Elder Uchtdorf, Elder Clayton and Whiting came this week to talk to us! That is the 2nd apostle I have met so far on my mission. We all got to shake his hand! It was a really cool experi...

Hiiiiii! So another great week! Not a ton to report though I'm sorry.     We had a lesson with our investigator on Monday night last week and it was super funny. She is a super hard worker and works a lot to provide because she is a single mom. We were talking about the plan of Salvation and all of a sudden you just start to see her head bob up and down, and then she keeps falling asleep but then jerks awake and she just says "I'm sorry sisters can we meet another day? I am way too tired" It was kinda funny but i felt bad because she hardly sleeps!     The next day a member asked us to come over and give their dog a bath and to trim her nails. So we did and the dog smelt sooooo bad but it was fun haha. When we were trimming the nails, she was just yelping and crying and I felt so bad but we had to do it.      One of the Senior couples came up to Temecula and took my companion and I out for dinner. They are SO sweet and so much fun. They took us to a pl...

Changes To The Ward

Como estan todos?!     This week was super good!! We are going through a lot of changes as a ward and as a mission as well! We had a ton of meetings with our new bishop, ward mission leader and the elders in the ward to figure out how to help this new ward. We created a ward mission plan that we will start to use with all of the families once it is finalized! We created a goal to have 18 baptisms in this ward for 2018. That is a super high number because one, we are in Temecula and there aren't that many hispanics here, and two, in 2017 they had a total of 6. So we set it high but if we work hard then we can do it!     We had a miracle on Sunday! So a ward member from an English ward gave us a referral for the lady that cleans her house. The lady has been living with her because she just recently got divorced and doesn't have a place to live. She has 3 kids at home with her and is really struggling. Soooo, they brought her to the spanish ward on Sunday because she d...
