Hours In The Hospital

Hi guys 

 

 

We had a great week this week!!! Last pday right at the end, I was playing volleyball and I landed on my foot super hard and I think I bruised the bone. I could barely walk on it but I still went out and worked hard. Even with a little limp haha :) we had our last lessons with Mario and Janet before their baptism this week! Seriously it was such a beautiful baptism. One of the best I've ever been to. They were so happy and still are! 

 

 

Saturday was kind of a crazy day for us.... so my companion has been having some problems with her stomach. She feels like she's going to throw up all day and feels like her food stays in her throat after she eats it and doesn't go down to her stomach. At nights she hasn't been able to sleep because she feels like she can't breathe because all the food is stuck in her throat. So I called the mission nurse and she came over to look at her. Then we got sent to Urgent Care! We were in the hospital for hoursssss. I was getting pretty nervous because I wasn't sure if we would make it to the baptism on time! Being a missionary, the only thing I had to entertain me was the Gospel Library App :) haha but I watched a couple General Conference talks and they were super good. After some tests she got sent home with some Pepcid AC for acid reflux... but we are pretty sure that's not at all what she has. She says she doesn't feel any burning whatsoever sooo. Idk but we will see how this week goes with the medicine. So far not helping her :/ We drove home and made it to the baptism on time! 

 

 

We had a service activity with the spanish branch this week. It was super fun, we made 200 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the prisoners in Mexico. The branch is pretty small but I love it. 

 

 

My very first convert Berna came and took us out to dinner this week. It has been almost a year since I have seen him! It was really fun to see him and get to say goodbye. He is a very good guy.

 

 

Well that's all I have for this week. The church is true!!! We see miracles everyday.
