Throw Up In The Car
Hiii, so last week we had to go to 2 zone activities because of the sisters we are over in the Carlsbad zone. We went to a park and went ice blocking. It was fun! Then we went to our own zone activity. We were all at this members house that was huge and they had bought a bunch of pizza and we hung out there for a while. I played this elder in chess and won. My brothers should be proud :) We had a Memorial Day party with our ward at the bishop's house. Our investigator Jack brought his electric guitar and played for everyone. He is super talented.
We have had a lot of service lately with this lady named Terra. She is disabled and is renovating her house. She is actually the investigator of some other elders but a few of us go help her for a couple hours a week. It's a lot of fun. We had a lesson with our investigator Ben and he is so awesome. You can tell he just has a pure desire. He comes from an atheist background so it's hard for him to understand the concept of a God and Jesus Christ. Which also makes it hard for him to recognize the spirit. If anyone has any ideas to help him grow that faith, please email me separately. But he came to church yesterday and LOVED it! It was fast and testimony meeting and he really liked it. At one point we couldn't find him and so we texted and called him, thinking he went home but then he responded and said "oh sorry I was just out getting to know some more people." He's the best.
This week was a little challenging. We had Presidents interviews and in our interviews, we always tell him how certain exchanges went, so he can have an update on all the sisters. When I was finished telling him about one sister, he said that it was the last string with her and now he is sending her home. I felt super bad and sad but I know he receives revelation for this mission about what is best.
This week my companion and I were at another service project and she started to not feel well. So we left to go home and SHE THREW UP IN THE CAR! hahaha it was so gross. Okay it was in a bag so it wasn't as bad. But still, just sitting next to it the rest of the ride home oh my. Haha but she is good now so it's all good.
We had our first lesson with Anselma this week! She's one of the ladies from the spanish branch that I am teaching. She is soooo cute and it makes me miss spanish work a tonnnnn. But I know I'm here for a reason. Ugh I'm just so excited, she's so adorable.
We had MLC again this week but this time all the district leaders were invited. It is always fun and cool to see how we all receive revelation on how to be better leaders and help the mission.
So a miracle happened! I was driving to our dinner appointment on Saturday night and we got a call from the Hermanas serving back in Temecula, and one of my investigators was getting baptized that day at 7! It was a super last minute thing. So we got to drive up there and go to that which was so awesome. It was really fun to see some ward members that I had missed.
Well I love feeling the spirit. Seriously it is the best feeling in the world and I'm out here to help people have those experiences. It's the best. It has changed my life. That's it for this week, love you guys so much!!!
