THE GOSPEL IS TRUE

Where did June go?? It feels like it just started! Well this was a crazy busy but awesome week. Now that we are full time in both wards, we are sooo busy! I got my new and last companion last week, Hermana Ogando. She is awesome and we get along really well! She is just learning English so she pretty much asks me after every conversation what happened haha. But everything is going great! We are soooo busy! We haven't been able to have all of our studies even one day this week yet.

When we started the week, since we will now be covering both areas, they combined all the information in our Area Book Planner app which has our schedule and everything on it. Well, when they combined the areas, something happened and all our plans and appointments got erased! It was so frustrating because we had a bunch of appointments set up for the upcoming week and now we didn't know what they were. So I had to figure everything out again and I hope we didn't miss anyone!

Our investigator Ben is struggling with a belief in God right now. He is looking for an answer, but growing up his whole life not believing, has made it a little more difficult for him. He is coming slowly but surely! We brought our member named Ethan to a lesson with us and it was awesome. His testimony is super strong and he was able to relate to him so well!

Friday was super crazy. We finally got a lesson with our spanish investigator Elizabeth! She said that once she knew it was true she would be baptized! Then we had a lesson with Jared. If you don't remember, he is the excommunicated member that we have been working with for a long time and wanted to be baptized again. Well he pretty much bashed me for 2 hours straight and made me cry. He wants nothing to do with the church and believes that God is okay with him drinking and having sex all the time. He has a skewed perception of the Atonement and believes that he has to put no effort whatsoever on his part. That if God wants to change something about him then it's God's responsibility. Also he says that it's disrespectful not to sin because then "that would mean Jesus died for nothing". The ignorance. Ugh. But yeah. He was pretty mean but I'm all good. I told him to stop talking because the spirit wasn't there and he just got up and walked away. Needless to say we won't be meeting with him anymore. Experiences like that just reaffirm to me what I already know. It makes my testimony even stronger! THE GOSPEL IS TRUE.

Now with 2 wards Sundays are crazy. We were at the church for 6.5 hours yesterday. Woo! It is seriously such a blessing i get to attend church again in spanish. I feel so blessed. After church one of our members was crying so we went and talked with her. She had been having suicidal thoughts and we talked to her for a while. Super stressful for us but she is okay now.

Well that is all for this week. I love it here!!!!! Have a great week :)
