Indian & Brazilian Food
Hello everyone
Last week for pday we had a root beer float party and played sand volleyball at a park! It was superrr fun. We had another super busy week. For FHE we carved watermelons which was actually fun and we gotta eat the insides haha.
We had some exchanges this week which is fun. I was with Sister Dalley for a day and she is literally the best. I love her. We are so similar and I took her to some of the hispanic investigators and for dinner we ate with a hispanic as well and she wants to be an Hermana sooooo bad. She's so cute. So that night I was with her, we went to the ward volleyball night at the beach (didn't go on the sand of course) but we were standing on the sidelines and our investigator Jack showed up. Then he started doing this work out right next to us. Just doing pushups and stuff and he got super sweaty and it was superrrrrrr awkward hahahahha. Funny tho.
We had a few really great lessons this week! We talked with Ben about Faith and he is starting to recognize the spirit more in his life. Our new investigator Mario, who is dating one of our members, is willing to be baptized once he recognizes his answer! He is so much fun to have lessons with because he feels the spirit so strong and he has so many questions and cool comments about things. He will definitely get baptized, super elect.
Oh! I tried Indian food for the first time this week! It was very different but wasn't too bad. Probably won't ever choose it again but I don't mind eating it if it's right in front of me kind of thing.
So a super crazy thing happened this week. So there has been a civil war in Nicaragua recently and so all of the missionaries that were serving there got reassigned. So we all knew that our mission would be getting some of them. I was walking out of institute this week and there were some elders in the gym and so I walked in and it was one of my friends from back home! We were not super close or anything but his best friend is also one of my best friends so I always heard about him and talked to him a few times. It was super weird to see someone from home and I felt like my 2 worlds were colliding. I'm still in shock. But it's been cool.
Also I forgot if I already told you this but there is this lady here who is from Brazil and she is absolutely obsessed with me because dad served his mission in Brazil. So she had her friends from Brazil come over and she made a Brazilian dish. It was pretty interesting but it was cute she was trying to show me her culture. She says that when we come back to visit the mission, she is going to test dad to see how good his Portuguese is haha. So you might wanna freshen up dad hahahah.
Well I love you all lots! Transfer calls are this week and it will be my last transfer! Super crazy, I wonder what the Lord has in store. Have a great week!
Hermana Wilhelmsen
