Road Show

Hi guys, another great week in paradise. 

 

 

Last Monday we had to stop by a family's house (los Rangel) to get a baptismal record signed, and then they begged us to stay for they're noche de hogar.(FHE) So we did and it was so much fun but the spirit was so strong. I don't even know if the family noticed because it was a super short message by their 9 year old son and a little game afterwards. But while they were singing and sharing their thoughts the spirit hit me so strong and it just helped me realize how important it is to have noches de hogar. 

 

 

Martes we went to the mutual activity without investigator Vanessa and they played dodgeball! Of course me and my comp played even though we were in dresses. And Vanessa passed her baptismal interview! 

 

 

We have started meeting with Oscar Martinez (less active) 3 times a week to reteach him the lessons. His testimony is growing as he reads the Book of Mormon and he said that he wants to go up and bare his testimony sometime in front of the ward! 

 

 

So in California there is this thing called the Road Show. All of the youth get assigned a movie and a theme like courage or Faith and have to come up with a skit that goes along with the movie and the theme. They pick popular songs and change the words to match the theme and its super cool. It is a competition between all of the wards. So we got to go watch that for a little bit because our investigator Vanessa was in it!

 

 

This week we had a lesson with Vanessa and her mom Lorena sat in finally! They found an apartment to live in so now we can teach her. She is super excited and says that her baptism is coming up haha.

 

 

And yesterday Vanessa got baptized!! It was such a special day. We played the video "Because of Him" while she was changing because there were a lot of nonmembers and I shared my testimony of the Savior and of course it was water works. But it was awesome. She also gave her testimony after she was baptized and it was super sweet. She cried as well. I love her so much and I'm excited for her mom to get baptized as well!
