Last Cup Of Coffee

Helloooo

So this week was great as well! We spent most of the week preparing for America's baptism! We ran into some problems with the program so it took us hours to do it but we eventually figured it out. We had our last two lessons with her which went really well. On Thursday we showed up at her house (which was the day of her baptism) to teach her the last one and she told us she had drunken her last cup of coffee before her baptism. And so usually if that happens you have to cancel the baptism and wait 2 weeks before they can get baptized again. So me and my comp looked at each other and didn't know what to do so we told her she needed to repent. Well she just started her prayer right there and goes "Dear Heavenly Father, I want to repent for drinking coffee. I thought it would be funny but it wasn't. It didn't even taste good. Bad America, Bad!" And then closed her prayer hahahahaha. We were trying so hard not to laugh. She is so funny but it was a sincere prayer that came from her heart. We talked to our bishop and our district leader and they felt that she should be allowed to get baptized, thankfully. Mostly because she didn't realize that she had to keep the word of wisdom beforehand, we didn't make that clear, so she didn't know. But anyway it went really well and she gave her testimony at her baptism and it was super cute and simple.

This week we had Presidents interviews! I love them because I just get to talk to my mission president one on one about how things are going. He is such an inspired man and has become one of my best friends. I wrote in my journal that I am so glad that I don't have to change mission presidents while I am on my mission because I don't think I could do it.

We had exchanges with our STLs this week. It was awesome! I was with sister David again and we always have a lot of fun together. We had service in the morning to help clean the church. We then went to the bishop's house for lunch and they served us FISH HEADS! Hahahaha it was actually really good. We had food all from the Dominican Republic which is really different but it was good!!! Exchanges are always funny because the STL doesn't speak any spanish so I am always doing 100% of the talking but I also like it because I get extra practice and can connect with the members better.

Well that's pretty much it for this week. Time is going by so fast here I feel like every other day is pday. Love you!!
