Flooded Bathroom

Hi guys! Well this was a week full of miracles.

Well at first it started out really sad because our golden investigator decided to go to the english ward with the family that she is living with, even though her mom goes to our spanish ward. So we went and said bye to her Monday night and we were super sad. But as long as she is finding the gospel we were happy.

The next day we had zone conference! It was amazing and the spirit was so strong. We talked about discipleship and we learned how to use facebook for missionary work! It was funny because we started adding a lot of members as friends on Facebook but they didn't know we were allowed to use it and so they said that they weren't going to accept it until they talked to us to make sure we weren't being sneaky or something haha.

I want to invite you all to read the talk "The first and great commandment" by Jeffery R. Holland. It is really good and brings the spirit really strong.

So this week since we got facebook we are allowed to communicate with family and friends through facebook as long as we have a missionary purpose. So I have been thinking a lot about one of my friends who is not a member lately and the other day I sent her a message on Facebook and just bore my testimony and sent her a little mormon message! Well guess what happened? She read it and didn't respond. But that is okay! At least I did my part. She had her agency to accept or reject it but at least I did my part and gave her the option. There are so many people out there that are waiting they just need to be given the option! So please think of family or friends who are not members and share the gospel with them. You might get rejected but who cares? If you read the talk "Was it worth it?" By Elder David F. Evans there is a story that might help motivate you.

We got to meet with our investigator America a lot this week who is getting baptized this Thursday! I can't remember if I already told you but she was in a coma for about 2 months because of choices she was making that were against the word of wisdom. Well I have seen her completely change. She was not happy when we first met her. But now that she is living the commandments and reading the Book of Mormon she is SO happy! She passed her baptismal interview so we are excited!

Yesterday at church we had a few miracles happen. We were sitting in Sacrament meeting and Lorena, Vanessa and the other 2 little kids walked in together. Vanessa decided to come back to the spanish ward to be with her whole family. We were so happy to see them all as a family! Then after church 2 hispanic ladies just walked in the doors and said they were just looking for a church to join! So we got their contact information and we will teach them sometime this week!

A family from the english ward is now moving their records to the spanish and their 11 year old adopted daughter wants to get baptized as well! So last night we went and taught her. She has had a hard life, moving in and out of foster homes and being abused. But now she is so happy with this new family who is very active in the church. Such a blessing.

Also yesterday our bathroom flooded.... so that was an adventure but it was actually pretty funny I couldn't stop laughing.

Well I love you guys! The church is true! Have a great week.

Oh also they had new beginnings which is what some of the pictures are from, and America is the one in the white shirt.
