Grateful For Yardwork
Hi fam and friends.
Nothing too crazy this week. I got my haircut last week but you can't even tell, just got the ends off. It looks way better and healthier now haha. We had Presidents Interviews which are always fun and we will be getting our smartphones this next week. It's kinda weird but we will see how it goes!
This week some elders called us and needed a copy of the Spanish Book of Mormon and so we were on our way to the church when our investigator Tino calls us and asks where we were. He had gotten all dressed up and went to the church for the activity that is actually on THURSDAY nights, not Wednesday. So cute. But since we both happened to be there we ended up being able to give him a tour of the building and we explained the sacrament and read the prayers with him and it was awesome!!
Thursday all day we were doing service for a family in the branch. We went over and were helping rake leaves and clean up their backyard after a rainstorm we had a few weeks ago. It was fun and I was actually grateful my mom had made us do yard work all those Saturday mornings so I knew what i was doing :)
We had a lesson planned this week with some other investigators this week and we brought a couple from the branch to help, and be friends with them. They ended up talking the entire time and so we didn't even get to teach the lesson because we had to leave to our next appointment... I mean it's good they get along though haha.
A tender mercy this week was a family made my FAVORITE meal which is called Sope's. Idk if that's how you spell it but they are sooooo yummy. We were supposed to have the family home evening that night too but again they were talking too long so we had to leave before the lesson even started. If you didn't know, hispanics talk a lottttt but I love them anyway haha.
We had exchanges this week and so I went to Murrieta singles ward and it was really interesting. Very different from what I'm used to. But we went on a hike with their ward and then we tried to contact a bunch of former investigators or potentials but we didn't even get in one single door. Haha it was a long day but it was fun.
Yesterday they announced in our branch that we would be combining with the Murrieta spanish branch and now we are becoming a ward! My favorite member here got called as bishop and it looks like it will really help the members! I am really excited.
Well, have a great week!
