Fast And Testimony Meeting

Hiiii fam

So I am doing so great in my new area!! It's really different because it's a branch instead of a ward and there aren't all that many hispanics here, so I was a little nervous that we wouldn't have anything to do. But the Lord has blessed us so much with putting people in our path!

My new companion is Hermana Corona and I love her so much. She's from Utah but her parents are from Mexico so she helps me a lot with the language and we have a lot of fun together!

We have 3 investigators right now who are on date to be baptized on February 20th! They are so cute and are already really good friends with the members of the branch and participate in classes and stuff.

We are helping a 20 year old in the branch prepare for the temple and her mission! She is leaving on January 31st, the same day I did! So she will go through the temple this Saturday and we are super excited for her.

This week was la rosca de reyes in the Mexican tradition. It was really fun! Look it up because I don't want to explain it. I'm sorry haha but I have pictures. We did one with the whole branch on Friday and then with the family we went with for dinner on Saturday as well!

Right now in the Book of Mormon I am reading about the story of Alma and Amulek and they are literally the coolest people in the whole thing. Their story makes me feel the spirit so much!

I had the opportunity to bear my testimony in front of the branch yesterday for fast and testimony meeting. It felt really good and it was cool to see how much I have grown since I've been out. I have no doubt this church is true!! I love being a missionary. My companion from last transfer went home last week and I just kept telling her I was not jealous because it's not my time to leave yet. It's hard for sure but so much fun and I have learned so much.

Thanks for everything!! Tell Kyle to get better for me :)

Love ya, Hermana Wilhelmsen
