Evacuation!

Hello!! Another great week!! I don't think I've had a bad week so far my whole mission so that's a huge blessing.

So first I'll explain what happened this week about being evacuated. On Thursday morning during our district meeting a huge fire started in Fallbrook which borders my area, Oceanside. Our recent convert lives in Fallbrook. So that morning we walked out of the church building after the district meeting and smoke was covering the sky and you could smell it veryyyy strongly. So we were told to stay indoors or use a car if we had to go places, no tracting or anything. Then a few hours later we were told to pack a bag of clothes in case we had to leave. Then a few hours later we were told to pack an actual evacuation bag of a few days and wait for our areas to turn into Mandatory Evacuation Zones. We went over to a members house who we are close with and we just watched the news with them to see how bad it was and what was going on. Then we got a call from the Sheriff's office telling us we were in a mandatory evacuation zone! So we drove to our Mission Presidents house where we stayed the night with a bunch of other sisters that got evacuated as well! It was crazy. President Thomas made us French Toast in the morning so that was yummy. A huge blessing that no one in our ward got hurt and none of their houses got burnt down. We weren't able to have church in our normal building but we combined with another ward in Carlsbad just to be safe. It's been weird living out of a suitcase for the past couple days. We just have to stay packed in case it gets worse and comes towards us again! So that was crazy.

We went out to eat a bunch with members this week haha. Also we got to eat dinner with a family who lives on the military base at camp Pendleton. It's the one in the Mormon Message about President Monson "dare to stand alone". It was cool, it was like its own little town.

We have a new investigator this week named Alejandro, and he is super cool! He has a sincere desire to know the truth so good thing we have it!!

We went caroling last night to an old folks home and it was really fun!! Well that's pretty much it for this week!! I love you guys and thanks for all the support you guys give me!!
