Cockroaches

Hiiii!!! This week was super good! and it flew by super fast! 

 

 

We got the chance to go to the temple on Tuesday and it was awesome. We can't drive our own cars there so we have to ask members to take us. We ended up asking one of my favorite families from my last area so I got to see them which was really fun. The little girl Emma is so cute. 

 

 

So something that just comes with being a missionary is that almost everyone will just spill out their problems to you and tell you all their trials. Sometimes I feel like a therapist in a way. But I love being trusted. It was so sad because a lady in our ward had us over for dinner and we were just talking like normal and then all of a sudden she just gets really serious and tells us that there is a woman who she had given money to and helped her find a place to live and stuff, and now that lady is trying to steal her husband away from her. The husband will block her number and stuff but then she will just get a new number and is purposely trying to get him to leave his wife to be with her. I cannot even imagine how hard that would be. Satan is so annoying sometimes!!!! I hate when I can't do anything for people to help them with their trials. So if anyone wants to pray for her that would be great. I don't want to say her name but Heavenly Father will know who you are talking about :)

 

 

We had presidents interviews this week which was really good. I always love those. 

 

 

There is a member who had us over for lunch and his name is Ramon. He got out his guitar and piano and accordion! So I got to play that for a little bit haha it was super cool. 

 

 

On Thursday night there is a thing called the Sunset Market here in Oceanside. They close down the streets and they put up a bunch of tents and stands and people are just selling stuff and there's a bunch of different types of food and things to buy and it's way cool. Some members took us there for dinner and it was so fun. 

 

 

There was a man trying to sell some type of drink and asked me to watch a short video about it. Obviously I wasn't interested but I told him if I watched it then he would have to watch the #LightTheWorld video haha. So I hope he did. 

 

 

On Friday we had to help this lady move out of her house.... GROSS. There were cockroaches just running all over the walls and on the floor so you can imagine my reaction. I almost couldn't go inside!! There was poop all over the floor and alcohol bottles and cigarettes all over. She wasn't a member, just someone we talked to on the street who needed help. It was super hard for me to help but it really helped her out. I better get an extra blessing or two for those cockroaches. Yuck. 

 

 

We found a new investigator this week named Roberto. He is super sweet. He just had a stroke and so he can't talk or move very well. He told us he wouldn't go to church and we think its because he's too embarrassed because of how slow he is at everything. But hopefully someday he will make it. 

 

 

I loved watching the Christmas Devotional!! I loved all the talks given!
