San Diego Temple/4th Of July

Hi!! This week was amazing!! Probably the best week in my mission so far, and the next one will be even better!!

 

 

On Tuesday we got to go to the San Diego temple! It was so pretty and such a blessing to be able to go. I miss it so much and can't wait to go every week when I get home. It was really funny though because we have to find a ride from a member to be able to go. So we asked this member and then when we got there she goes "So who's going to take you guys home?" and it was super awkward because we had assumed she was going to do it... So then when we got out of the session, we were stranded in San Diego for a while when we waited for another member to come get us.

 

 

The next day my companion and I got to go to Oceanside California and do a service project and hand out food to those who are less fortunate I think. We went to help translate too. It was super fun.

 

 

I was kinda bummed because 4th of July is my favorite holiday in the whole world and I thought we weren't going to do anything for it, but then we got invited to a white ward for their ward party on Saturday. We had a huge breakfast and it was a lot of fun. And then tomorrow all of the missionaries in our zone are having a party since we aren't allowed to be out! So I'm super excited for that!

 

 

We also got to go to a baptism in Oceanside for a man that my companion taught while she was serving there. It was such a cool experience. He was so happy!

 

 

The best news of the week is that Berna is getting baptized on Saturday!!! Last night we had a lesson with him and he said yes!! He has been investigating the church for 2 years now and comes to church faithfully but wouldn't get baptized for some reason. But now he is!!! I cried a lot and I am so excited for him.
