Finished The Book Of Mormon

Hey guys!! Sorry for no email last week. I just didn't have very much time!! This week has been amazing! But super sad as well.

 

 

One of our investigators, Perla, in the middle of the night, abandoned her kids to go live with her criminal boyfriend in Utah. ya. they still have no idea. They think she's in Murrieta California working right now. She doesn't even have the money to come back and she knew she would lose custody of her kids if she left because of her situation, but she did it anyway. I do not understand what she was thinking but I just feel so bad for her kids mostly. 

 

 

We did a TON of service this week for a less active family. They are so cool and loving. Their house was pretty gross so we went over and organized and cleaned for hours and now it looks so much better!! The dad is super into cars and has the spray on paint stuff (idk how else to describe it) so he gave us temporary tattoos that would just go away when we washed it off. Kinda cool though haha. 

 

 

One of our members, he's a super cute old man, wants to learn english so we will be teaching him every week!! I'll attach a picture of him, he's like a little teddy bear. super funny too. His name is Hermano Castillo. 

 

 

The other day we were walking past a large group of teenage boys and we just said hi but then continued on. One of them started following us super close so we turned around. He asked us if we could hang out with him and his friends and he smelled like beer sooooo bad. We nicely declined but he just kept asking why so we just walked away and he didn't follow us after that haha. 

 

 

Last night we had Family Home Evening at the bishop's house, like every week with other members from the ward. After they brought out a guitar and everyone was singing and dancing and laughing and it was so much fun. I love the people i have met here so much. They are all so important to me and do so much for us missionaries. 

 

 

Lastly, I finished the Book of Mormon this last week. I can't even put into words how cool that book is. I learn so much from it everyday and I love reading the stories. It is so true. Thanks for all the love and support!!! I love and miss you guys so much!!
