Bible Bashing

So I didn't get a video from you guys, not really sure what happened but it didn't show up. This week was good. We got a new investigator but I'm not really sure if she's super interested but we'll see. Last p-day our zone went on a hike and played games, it was really fun! I love my zone, especially my district, I'm super close with all of them already. I had a rough day on Tuesday I think it was. Just biking all day and I was exhausted. Wednesday we were knocking on doors and this girl answered that was 22 and she let us in and we taught her the plan of salvation and she was really interested! She said she had been wanting a better relationship with God and then we showed up so it was super cool. She's white though so we have to give her to the English elders but at least she'll get taught. Kinda a bummer though. 

There is this neighborhood eatery that we always walk by because we live by it and this guy who works there always gives us coupons and free stuff and he asks us questions about our church so we go every week to see him. I still love my companion, she's the best. We laugh all the time together and she's really patient with my spanish and helps me anytime i need it! She has taught me a lot about missionary work and Spanish and everything. Her name is Hermana Adams.

 

 

The broadcast was awesome! We tried to listen to the first half with Spanish headphones so honestly i didn't get a lot out of the first half but I took them off for the end and it was awesome!! Yesterday we had a lesson with the year and a half long investigator Berna. He finally set a month for baptism, not a day yet though so we are praying for that! 

 

 

This morning we had a lesson with what we thought was going to be a solid referral. At the beginning he started talking and sharing a lot of his beliefs and they were the same as ours so we were excited but then he pulled out his notebook with all his bible verses and started bible bashing us. I couldn't understand a lot of what he was saying but my companion was trying her hardest to be nice and she wasn't going to fight back because there's no point. We kept trying to leave but he talked for nearly 2 hours. At the end he just kept telling us that we were sinners and never going to receive salvation. So that's how my morning started. It's all good though, stuff like that doesn't really get me down it's just frustrating when people have such hard hearts like that. 

 

 

The food is really good but really greasy. Look up Pupusas, it's an el Salvadorian food and you eat it with spanish rice! super good.  

 

 

Anyway, I love you all and hope you had a fun time in Washington! It sounds like it! We are going hiking today I think again with our district. Tell Cody to look up the song by Gavin Degraw and need to breath. Not sure if need to breathe is the name or if it's just the main singer. Travel safe!!
